Summer finally arrived, officially. Though it almost didn't. At least not in the way I like it to, and of course that's the all important element, right, that Mother Nature ushers in the seasons to my liking? Anyway, last year I let my kids walk part of the way home from school. It was our compromise because I'm so overprotective that the three-block walk is too far. So I let them start walking and I would usually time it so that I left work in time to drive up as they were at the half way point
