Diego Rivera Diego Rivera was born December 8th, 1886 in Guanajuato, Mexico.In 1907, Rivera arrived in Europe & went to study in Barcelona, Spain, & from there proceeded to Paris where he lived & worked with great artists. Paris in that time was experiencing the emergence of cubism in paintings like Picasso. So from 1913 to 1918 Rivera himself embraced this new style of art.
