Quarter to Ten

The record of the journey to collect 10,000 quarters from 1983 and the people who helped me along the way. Why 10,000 exactly? It seemed like a nice round number. Also, I’ll never be able to collect so many without other people helping me. That’s what this site is about. Sure its about me collecting 10,000 quarters but its mainly about the people who give me quarters or the places that I find them. If you would like send me a quarter. Please, don’t be shy. But be warned, you can’t just pop a quarter in an envelope. That’ll never work. You’ll have to get creative so the coin doesn’t rip out of the envelope. Think of it like the exercise boy scouts do, where they have to construct something out of natural materials to keep an egg from breaking when dropped from a great height. I will not stifle your creativity by telling you how to do this. If you do send me a quarter, tell me who you are. Tell me what you want me to post about you and I’ll do it. I’m not going to send you a quarter back, but I will say whatever you want me to say (of course, if its boring, I’ll edit it). Its the least I could do.
