Hubby got me a necklace for Valentine's Day. It's a circle made of pewter I think. Written on it in script is, "To thine own self be true." I truly love it. During moments when I feel my ego creeping to the surface in reaction to something or someone, I touch the pendant, think of the words, and comply. Its day 2 and I'm starting to notice a shift already. So far its small things. For example, my husband and I decided we wanted lentil soup from this overcrowded, expensive restaurant that we normally go to. It was closed which was strange because it's Saturday, the busiest day of the week in that area of town. So we set off in search of something else. Today was relatively unremarkable. There were a few things that were noteworthy. First of all, I have to confess, I let my husband read the blog so he saw the part where I asked for a dozen roses.
