My husband and I were engaged 27 years ago today. He proposed to me at dinner with his family at the Dovray Manor. Six months later we were married. We had met in college barely a year earlier. In college, we had many common friends, but never spoke until my senior year. We met walking to the campus Lutheran center. Our first date was Holy Communion followed by our second date, a spaghetti lunch at church.
