I'm sharing it here because I'm constantly digging out my notes and books looking for this kind of information! Last week I looked out and there were TWO pairs of cardinals flitting back and forth between our giant pine tree and the burning bush, which still has come of it's red seeds/fruit on the branches. My mom lives in rural Michigan too, and she has the perfect set up for bird watching. I'm am always so envious of the birds that visit her, especially in the winter. We visited this weekend I took pictures of a few that stayed still long enough for me to snap a picture. She has a tree right outside a ground floor window where she has feeders and suet hung for the birds. It's so much fun watching them.This is a Purple Finch, which is a regular visitor.A sparrow visits too. Although it is so commo
