Women Rock
by Renée Westbrook
I know I’m a little late on the uptake here, but this is major. Finally! The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum has an interactive exhibit called "Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power".
The exhibit celebrates women's contributions to the male dominated world of rock and roll and features well over 65 artists including Tina Turner, Chrissie Hynde, Wanda Jackson, the Ronettes, The Runaways, and Janis Joplin.
Let's hope the museum doesn't forget the forerunners like Bo Diddley's lead guitar player Peggy Jones aka Lady Bo.
What a perfect way to spend the summer.
When: May 13, 2011 - February 26, 2012
