WOMAN SHOT BY STRANGER
A woman was shot by a complete stranger as she pulled into her own driveway in a Midwestern Ohio city this week while her horrified nine-year-old daughter watched.
The assailant was reportedly a complete stranger and he got at least three random shots off from his weapon before the woman and her daughter fled the scene in their automobile. But, unfortunately, not before the woman suffered three wounds from the gunfire.
There was, reportedly, no provocation for the attack.
This is one of three "Gun" incidents that were reported in Midwestern Ohio during the past week.
It should be interesting to note that it hasn't been but a few weeks now since The Ohio Legislature passed a new law allowing firearms to be carried into bars where alcohol is being served, into churches and day care centers and a laundry list of other public places.
Some are reportedly calling the new law a "Wild West" measure and it has been opposed by some on the various police departments, some prosecutors and, according to news reports, some avid gun enthusiasts themselves.
It should also be noted that the Ohio State House is dominated by Republicans.
