Who better to write a novel about backpacking in Central America than someone who’s actually done it? This YA travel adventure should appeal to anyone with a touch of wanderlove in their soul, whether they’ve ever actually wandered or not.

Eighteen-year-old Bria Sandoval lives in Southern California. She’s an artist at heart, who really likes the idea of being a global vagabond. Her two best friends, Olivia and Reece, backed out of traveling with her when she initially wanted to go to Europe for the summer.
