When managing a blog or website, I find the most tedious job is keeping all of your promotional tools updated. For example, classified sites, traffic exchanges, blog networks, social networks, tracking tools etc. Making sure all of your feeds are working properly where you want them to work. Not to mention if you are an affiliate of any organization. Keeping track of your advertisers, new promotions, out of date adds, etc. Then finding time to keep your content fresh and interesting. All of which can become a little overwhelming. 

I try to stay on a daily routine. And use a list to keep on track. This is not always possible, but it makes it much easier. Considering most of us do have a life offline.  Coming back to my daily routine and list after offline life is back to normal I find it's much easier to pick up and catch up. If you don't already use some sort of system of your own, try it. You may find it helps.
