Not only because its championship fight but with one of the most recognized fighter in the UFC. GSP brings in ratings that far surpass any other fighter, and he will be again fighting in his home territory.. Tune in fokes this fight is going to be one of the best… With this being George St-Pierre 2nd fight since returning to the octagon after being out or 18 months, I am sure he is going to come in stronger, and well prepared for Diaz…
The fight takes place March 16 at the Bell Centre and is headlined by the welterweight title bout between hometown champion George St-Pierre and Nick Diaz. George St-Pierre claims that Nick Diaz is the man to beat in the Welterweight Division, despite claims that Hendricks is the #1 contender
“This is the fight that everyone wants to see,” GSP said. “To me, Nick Diaz is the No. 1 contender. There is a story between us.”
“I believe he’s the man to beat in the division. I want to fight the guy who’s ranked the best. The best guy right now is Nick Diaz.”
“My other option was Johny Hendricks and Johny Hendricks when I watched the fight with Josh Koscheck, according to me Josh Koscheck should have won that fight, so I didn’t want to fight a guy that lost to a guy I beat,” said St-Pierre.Watch a replay of the UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz official announcement press conference from Montreal Wednesday morning

When Nick Diaz steps into the cage to face UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, he’s going to be facing the greatest fighter in the history of the welterweight division.
If that wasn’t enough, he’s going to be facing a fighter who is the best where Diaz is the weakest—takedowns vs. takedown defense—and if that wasn’t enough, there’s more problems ahead.
St- Pierre much stronger, more explosive, faster, seasoned and arguably the more well-rounded fighter between the two of them.
