Deal with problems head on. Either change the situation or change your reaction. For example people who receive too many phone calls to respond to may feel guilty if they dont return every call. Change the situation by telling people that you can respond faster if they text or email you or put a message on your answering machine that there is a lot of competition for your time right now so you return calls between a certain time. Or change your response by not feeling responsible to respond to every call.
