Tips on Cleaning a Saw Blade

Cleaning is not a pleasant process since it is considered a chore but no matter how unwanted and boring it is, you have to do it because if you don't the work builds up and it is simply unnatural to stay in a dirty place.

Sometimes cleaning can be vital though. Let's take for example the devices, most devices break down because they are not cleaned properly. My family and I live in a normal house surrounded by a forest. Me and a couple of neighbours have a permit to cut down trees, well only those which are allowed of course and that way we make some extra money. I own a chainsaw and a saw machine and that helps me when I deal with the trees. We sell them most of the times to a furniture factory and although the quantity of the wood is not big they still pay us. But no matter what I have to clean my saw machine properly because according to professional cleaners Balaclava if it is not cleaned it can cause work accidents and nobody wants that.

Cleaning a saw blade is not so difficult as I thought but still it is important because one failure of the device can be lethal. That is why I spend time almost every day to clean it after use. After a cleaning Balaclava session I already know how to clean my saw blade without injuries and I continue to do so. A couple of tips are actually needed before you can begin:

  • Kerosene is a good way to remove everything from the saw, the wood particles are easily removed but you have to be careful because this substance is highly flammable.
  • Take the blade out of the machine and let it soak in a bucket.
  • After you take it out you can use a sponge or a soft brush to clean the left wood particles.
  • Wash it with water in the end and dry if partially with a towel, carefully so you don't cut yourself.
  • In the end you can use some grease or very little oil to prevent rust from appearing.
