As much time as I spend on the Internet it should probably not surprise most people that I have precious little time to watch television. There used to be a time that I would try to spend at least one or two nights a week watching a movie, those days seem to be a world away.
Paying for cable television is an unnecessary expense and premium channels are nothing worse that taking good money and flushing it down the toilet. If I could tape movies to watch them later it might be worthwhile, but unless I had time to actually watch the movies, it would still be a waste of money.
My time is extremely precious, so much so that I have to take painful efforts to try to fulfill all of my responsibilities by the end of the day, a task that becomes more and more difficult with each passing day. The good thing about working from home however, is that there is no commute to and from work.
Unlike many other people, I am easily entertained. I can watch a 30 minute comedy and walk away feeling like I received a shot in the arm. I don't need to spend a boat load of cash in the local casinos, eat at a fancy restaurant or blow a wad on a dinner theater.
A healthy snack in front of an action movie or a good drama will also do the trick and that goes for the company I keep also. It may seem like a dull life to some, in fact there may be a few of my readers who consider me to be a cheapskate because of it.
I guess I should be thankful that I have somewhat of an imagination, because of that fact I can always relive the movie or television show over and over again. I don't consider myself as strange, although there may be a few people that might feel that way. Am I happy with the way I do things, you bet I am!
