How could I resist a novel called The Peculiars, especially with a book cover like this one? Award-winning author Maureen McQuerry has perfectly blended alternative history with steampunk, mystery, intrigue, paranormal elements, adventure and romance, all rolled up in a captivating world. This story, like so many YA novels, is a wonderful read whether you’re a teen or an adult.
