When the publisher asked whether I wanted to read and potentially review The Empty Glass by J.I. Baker, I wasn’t sure at first. I thought, what more could be said about Marilyn Monroe’s death and why would someone write a novel about it? Then I became intrigued when I read the concept for the novel. We’ve all probably read the many theories about what might have happened but I think nothing has ever really been resolved in most people’s minds. Her death is still shrouded in mystery, making this novel a very interesting read to say the least.
