This papercraft is the Link, based on the game series Super Smash Bros. Melee(SSBM), the paper craft model is created by ninjatoes. Announced at E3 2001, Link is a Starter character in all three Super Smash Bros. games. Link has changed from the first game, and his Bow is now his Standard Special Move.
Link is ranked 16th on the tier list, having so far his best performance in the series, due to the buff he received from the Super Smash Bros. to Melee. Despite his attacks being slightly weaker, they are faster. He is one the most reliable edgeguarders in the game because of his extremely powerful semi-spike and significantly better recovery. However, he is large and is a somewhat of a fast-faller and as such, he is vulnerable to chaingrabs, which is a major problem in competitive play, resulting in Link being a low tier. However, he has great matchups against most characters.
Link has poor dash speed, but he makes up for this with great range for most attacks, a variety of projectiles and quite fast air speed. He also has powerful Smash Attacks and Aerial Attacks, but their high lag and moderate startup times counterbalance this. Link’s grab range is large due to being a tether grab, and can be used as a wall-grapple. However, it leaves Link vulnerable if it misses, and it’s difficult to grab airborne opponents, which minimizes chaingrabing opportunities.
Super Smash Bros. Melee, known in Japan as Dairantō Smash Brothers DX, often abbreviated as SSBM or simply as Melee, is a crossover fighting game released for the Nintendo GameCube shortly after its launch in 2001. It is the successor to the 1999 Nintendo 64 game Super Smash Bros., and the predecessor to the 2008 Wii game Super Smash Bros. Brawl. HAL Laboratory developed the game, with Masahiro Sakurai as head of production.
The game is centered on characters from Nintendo’s video gaming franchises such as Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Pokémon. The stages and gameplay modes make references to, or take their designs from, popular games released by Nintendo. Melee‘s gameplay system offers an unorthodox approach to the “fighter” genre as percentage counters measure the level of damage received, rather than the health bar traditionally seen in most fighting games. It builds on the first game’s broad appeal by adding new features related to gameplay and playable characters. Following the popularity of its multiplayer gameplay, Melee has been featured in several multiplayer gaming tournaments.
