Strategic Internet Marketing with Forums

Today I am going to talk about a really cool strategic Internet marketing strategy called Forum Marketing.

This is a favourite of mine as I used to run a successful free advertising forum and learnt a lot from doing so.  I saw the power of Forum Marketing, and how best to utilize it for lots of targeted traffic to your website.

I really believe if you are not using some form of Forum Marketing, you are missing out.  It truly is a very POWERFUL strategic Internet marketing strategy that everyone should be using.

There are so many different types of forums out there it can be quite confusing.  I suggest you find three forums in your niche first.  This way it won’t be too overwhelming for you.  For example, if your niche is motor vehicles, join three forums that relate to motor vehicles or their related parts.  If you are an Internet Marketer, you would probably search for similar niches such as marketing tips, Internet marketing or even home business ideas.  You will certainly find a forum on nearly any subject you search for.  This is the first step in using forums for strategic internet marketing.

Once you are a member of each forum, you MUST setup a signature file.  Now, this shouldn’t be a blatant ad, just a nice little signature that has your name, a quick text about your website, then your website link.

If you do a blatant ad, you run the risk of being kicked out of the forum, or having your posts deleted.  This won’t help your strategic internet marketing at all if this happens! So please don’t do it.

This is truly the EASY part.

Once you are a member of the three forums and have setup your signature file, all you need to do is get involved in the conversations.  Internet Marketing is all about building RELATIONSHIPS and TRUST.

This takes time to build, but if you regularly comment in each Forum, people will get to know you and trust you.  They will also see you as a bit of an authority figure, and they will want to know what you do.  So, what do they do next?  They visit your website which is listed in your signature file!!!  How is that for strategic Internet marketing?  It is so easy, and doesn’t take long to do.

Another bonus is that Google regularly crawls over Forums, and your website will start to rank higher as you post more comments.  It is a form of Backlinking, which as we all know, is VERY IMPORTANT to get ranked by Google!!!

When you comment on the posts, try to offer a valuable comment.  Don’t just write “I agree” or other short responses.  strategic internet marketing

Get involved in the conversations and offer help, advice and encouragement.  People will enjoy what you write, and will read your comments regularly.

I am living proof that this form of strategic internet marketing works.  The last business I was involved in came from me clicking on a website in a Forum.  I saw this person as very inspirational, and I wanted to be on his team.  See, it works!!!

So in conclusion, adding Forum Marketing to your strategic internet marketing arsenal is a great way to generate traffic, get leads and get higher Google rankings.

All you need to do is follow these steps:

    Join three Forums in your Niche

    Add your website URL to your signature file

    Get involved in conversations and discussions

    Enjoy the extra traffic, higher rankings and new found friends!!!!
