Catching a sexually transmitted disease can be a tough battle to go through. You may feel as though the world has just come to an end knowing there is a disease living in your body. Sexually transmitted diseases can be a life-long battle because there is no cure. Knowing you have such a conditoin can bring you down and overall- stress you out. Especially with the case of herpes, stress will only make your situation worse which is something you don't need. It's a lot easier said than done but with time you will get used to it once you know how to control it. Which is pretty much all the power you have. Since you can't completely get rid of the virus. You will feel a lot better as a person.
There are simple things that can help you battle this virus, such as
- good eating habits
- not stressing or thinking about the problem
- eating a lot of fruits
- taking advantage of pharmaceutical or holistic health remedies
Unfortunateley since this particular disease is with you for the rest of your life, you risk the chance of passing it on to someone else obviously wouldn't be a nice thing to do. Having a sexually transmitted disease does not mean you can't date, it only means it is harder to date people not living with the virus. Then you would have to explain to these person and hope they will respect you and your condition.
There is a chance that any relationship won't work because other people will be in fear of catching the virus too.
Nerve wracking? Yes, it can be. Your dating life will take on a new direction, but, luckily, there are STD dating websites that you can join to meet and interact with other people living positive.
My personal recommendation would be privatelegion.com; not only is it a dating website, but it is also a community where members can share media, take part in discussion forums, use a customized search tool to search other members and much more. They have a low monthly membership fee of only $11 a month, far cheaper than a lot of other dating websites.
Hopefully you'll be able to find someone who is going to love you no matter what you have going on in your life.
Having a sexually transmitted disease is a life changing event but it does not mean you can let it control you for the rest of your life. Take charge, life will be normal in no time.
