Let me first say that Mitt Romney is not my candidate; I would vote for him if he is the nominee but don’t see him as an authentic conservative.  But, I cannot remember ever being so put off by a Republican primary candidate as I am by Rick Perry.  His unprincipled and crass attack on Romney over the illegal immigration issue was the last straw for me, and I suspect for many other Republicans, judging by the reaction of the audience at Tuesday night’s debate.  You might care to take a look at my only slightly tongue in cheek September 30th post, “Placido Doming, persona non grata.”
