Remove Ink Stains
Removing an ink stain is a really tough job. The one important thing that you should know about them, is that you need to act fast and treat them as soon as you can. There are several methods that you can try, but still, there is a chance that you do not manage to remove the stain. Here is what you can try to to remove ink stains:
First, try using rubbing alcohol. Before you apply it, put an old, clean cloth underneath the stained area. Cleaners Sydney say that you should always remember to test every solution on a hidden small place of the stained fabric. After testing rub the alcohol over the spot, using a sponge or an other cloth. The cloth under should get wet and coloured from the leaching ink. When that happens you must move the fabric over a clean spot so that the ink doesn't go back in the fabric. Continue doing this until no more can be removed. Make sure you washed off all the alcohol from the stained fabric.
If you didn't manage to remove the ink stain with rubbing alcohol, cleaners Frankston suggest you try using a nail polish remover. You should remember that this stuff is heavy duty. Always try it first on a small and invisible part of the fabric. If it is safe to use it, again, put a towel underneath the stained area and apply the nail polish remover. Then follow the same procedure as with the rubbing alcohol.
If none of the above work, you should try with undiluted acetone. Remember it is a very harsh solution and it might damage the fibres so always test it first on a small inconspicuous area of the fabric. Do not use it on acetate and rayon fabrics. If you think it is safe to use it, again put a towel under the stain, apply the acetone on the stain and rub it in with a sponge or a cloth. Then rinse it off. Make sure that no acetone is left on the fabric.
If the stain is so stubborn that none of the solutions can remove it, cleaners Brunswick suggest you might consider hiding it. A good idea is to decorate it with a a patch or a embroidery.
You can also draw something with the same ink that has stained your fabric and turn the stain into your personal decoration.
