After a routine visit to the doctors office and a stern warning about the way I allowed my health to deteriorate, I grabbed the script and headed for the corner pharmacy. My medical insurance had run out some time ago and I had not been able to fill my prescriptions if only for the fact that I was not as strong financially, as I would have liked to be. The prescription that I had in my hand may end up among the rest in my top drawer at home, that is of course until I can afford my medications again.
I had heard from a friend of mine that I could purchase my prescriptions on the Internet and have them delivered right to my doorstep, however, I was already accustomed to using the neighborhood pharmacy and purchasing medications on the Internet was something that I was a little weary of. In the end, after a friendly reminder that these online pharmacies were in fact certified to sell medications on an international scale, I decided that I would look into it, who knows, I may save some money in the long run.
I have never had the need to communicate with a consulting firm for anything in the past, nor do I plan on doing so in the future, but as I understand it they help some companies figure out how it works to help with advances in technology. With the way things keep changing today we can only expect them to intensify in how they affect our business and the day to day activities that we carry out. What used to be a slow progress in advancing technology has picked up its pace at lightening speed and everybody wants to get involved.
The prospect of a company, or even the average man in the street, without the toys and technological advances that we have been experiencing within the last 5 – 10 years is unimaginable. Our true potential is being realized as we come to grips with the opportunities that have been made possible through it all. As we move forward and try to avoid a collision with our own future, it is hard not to see the things that have been accomplished with these very same technologies.
