Prague Fatale: A 1940’s German Detective Story/Political Thriller

I couldn’t resist the atmospheric book cover for Prague Fatale by bestselling author Philip Kerr. It has such a great period feel to it and signals that this book is going to be like classics by Dashiell Hammett or Raymond Chandler. The main character, Bernie Gunther, definitely falls into that category. He reminded me of a German Sam Spade or Phillip Marlowe.

This is the latest book in the award-winning Bernie Gunther series. No worries if you haven’t read the other six novels in the series because Prague Fatale works very well as a stand-alone read. Like historical fiction or a detective story or a political thriller? How about all three wrapped into one novel? Read the rest  of my review at http://popcornreads.com/?p=3639
