I don’t go to the movies very often. It’s expensive and, frankly, the other theater goers don’t behave very well. We’ve determined that it’s often more economical and enjoyable to wait until a movie is released on DVD, buy it, and watch it at home where we can pause, rewind, etc. and determine who else is in the room.
Some movies, however, are best seen on the big screen. Often, the benefits of seeing many movies on the big screen, as they were intended to be viewed, outweigh the disadvantages of watching with a crowd of strangers. This Friday, I’ll be going to see Skyfall.
“Daniel Craig is back as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As M16 comes under attack, 007 must trade down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.” – From the official Skyfall website.
I think Daniel Craig has done a great job in portraying the James Bond character and I’m looking forward to seeing him reprise the role again. Reviews have been mostly positive.
I imagine the theater will be rather crowded, if not sold out, on Friday. There’s an unusual excitement …
