New HTC Sensation ICS ROMs

Hello people! Today I am bringing you 2 more HTC Sensation ICS ROMs. One of them has Sense unlike the previous ROM I showed you, and the other has a Sense base, but doesn't have the widgets and visual effects. Only the stock ICS User Interface.

The first ROM is called RCMix ICE v1.1 and it comes with sense 3.5. Majority of the app works with some occasional hiccups along the way. An example would be not being able to change wallpapers...The devs are working hard to fix these bugs and I will make sure to keep you posted on latest changes. It is a BETA build but pretty stable. My friend has it installed and it is pretty great, no major issues found yet.

Here is the changelog for v1.1:

  • Optimized and zipaligned apks, zipaligned with sdk16.
  • Added some optimization scripts
  • Added init.d support
  • Added a reboot apk, to make a normal/bootloader/recovery reboot. Thats until a real APM comes.
  • Cleaned out unnecessary appks (Ota, loggers and so)
  • Added social network lockscreen
  • Fixed small MMS issue
  • HTCSync is working now!

The second ROM is called Virtuous Inquisition v1.3.0 and this is based to look exactly like the stock Ice Cream Sandwich. Again it has a few bugs here and there but remember this is a first release after the Official ICS Leak...so please give a shout out if you find any bugs. This is a BETA build so flash with your own risk!

Here is the changelog for 1.3.0:

  • Full wipe required, sorry guys. This is why it's beta.
  • Fixed mobile data being off after initial boot.
  • Enabled WiFi automatically on first boot.
  • Disabled power manager from ever being triggered.
  • Disabled quiet-on-pickup, which is a Sense feature.
  • Disabled pocket mode, which is a Sense feature.
  • Eliminated adb notification icon.
  • Updated AOSP theme (v8). (Thanks: Shnizlon)
  • Added Titanium Backup as a user app.
  • Added Quick Boot as a user app. Use this for booting into bootloader, recovery, etc.
  • Switched default wallpaper to an ICS live wallpaper.
  • Added /system/etc/pre-init.d, which works similar init.d, except that scripts are executed prior to starting the Android java stack.

Known issues:

  • Initial boot after a wipe sometimes hangs while populating the dalvik cache. If your first boot takes longer than 5 minutes, simply pull the battery and boot again. It will boot properly the second time. Fixed in 1.2.
  • Mobile data is not started by default. All you need to do is turn it on. Fixed in 1.3.
  • The lockscreen does not change during an inbound call. Obviously the phone will ring but you will not see the caller information on the screen until you unlock the phone.
  • The default home screen setup is not done. This just means I haven't placed a default set of icons and wallpapers automatically. Most of you would change anything I did anyway but it's a problem nontheless. Fixed in 1.3.
