Motorola Zoom Tablet Turned into a Phone

Motorola has recently announced that they are planning to release another installment of their computer tablet Zoom. The new Zoom is lighter, thinner and faster then its predecessor. As before the Motorola's computer tablet is powered by Google's mobile operating system Android. And this, of course, means that the new tablet can be customized thanks to the large selection of apps available for Android. In fact the new Zoom can be customized so much that it can even be turned into a phone.

Until very recently the Google's operating systems for Android phones and Android tablets weren't the same, but this is all now changed thanks to the latest version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich. This means that all those hundred thousands of app already available for Android phones will also be available to use on the tablets using the same operating system, very much like iPhone and iPad can both use the same apps.

The Motorola Zoom offers all the standart features that all computer tablets offer. Exactly, these features will enable the user to use his new Motorola Zoom as a phone. The only requirements to do it is to have connection to internet (Wi-Fi or 3G, 4G), the right piece of hardware (headset) and a VoIP app installed on your tablet.

When it comes VoIP apps there is plenty of choice. Most VoIP apps allow the user to make free calls to other users who are using the same app. The calls are made over the Internet and that is why there are free. But even if the users wants to make a call to a mobile or landline phone, he can still do it. The difference is that this call will cost him, because it's not free. However, such call is considerable cheaper than an ordinary call made from a mobile and landline phone, especially, if the call is international. That is why most people are using VoIP apps when they want to make cheap calls to Ireland, for example.

Turning the new Motorola Zoom into a phone is a piece of cake. All the necessary requirements are present; you can connect to internet with Motorola Zoom, there is a headset for the tablet, and with the latest version of the Android operating system, you can install numerous VoIP apps which can allow you to call Ireland or any other country.
