Mobile Phone Etiquette for Personal Calls

We live a busy life and it becomes very tough to handle so many tasks in during the day. Not to mention that the technology is everywhere around us and we talk on the phone almost all the time. But people rarely think about the way they use their phones. It is not just a device that serves to make cheap calls. It actually became the main way of communication because we don't have the time to meet each other face to face. That's why we have to avoid some often made mistakes.
Always turn your phone to a silent mode in order not to disturb the people around you when you are on a public place. For example, in cinemas, theatres, playhouses, and museums it is completely obligatory  to turn it off because the vibration is also very unpleasant sound for the audience.
When you are on public place and there is no way to have a private conversation, do not use any rest rooms, waiting rooms or hallways. This is not the right place to make a personal call because there are always people you can intimidate. If it is an emergency call, you can answer but you have to do it quietly as you step aside.
Do not yell on the phone. Cell phones have microphones which block out the surrounding noises and there is no need for you to scream. You disturb not only the people around you but the person you talk to, so try to keep your voice low. It is really wrong to argue and call people with names in public.
There is one unwritten rule you have to remember. Try to stay at least 3 metres away from the nearest person in the room because the soft voice won't prevent other people to hear your conversation.
Do not take a call when you are on a date or when you attend any kind of social event. It is rude and disrespectful and you may cause offence to the person you are with. So, just leave it to the voice mail and call back later.
The next thing is something you should not only avoid but it is totally forbidden. Do NOT talk on the phone when you drive. This way you endanger everybody on the road including yourself. In case the call is really distracting, you can easily pull over to have the conversation.
It is great we can take an advantage of the latest technologies but be very careful when you use them. Make your cheap international calls without disturbing anyone else.
