With more than seven billion people in the world and more than a half living in cities, the urban development programs constitute one of the most important practices of our time. A key point is how to manage the mobility of the inhabitants of the cities.

Among the strategies aimed at creating more efficient and less polluting transport in the cities are the promotion of the bicycle as a means of transport, the enhancement of of the public services, the development of product-service systems such as Zipcar, and the production of less contaminating cars. However, none of these alternatives constitutes a comprehensive solution.
