When Barack Obama came into power by a very high margin vote, his followers were certain that the United States was getting ready to witness a turnaround of the greatest kind. People were suffering due to a second term lame duck experience from President George Bush (jnr) and they were hoping that the Charismatic Obama would have all of the answers. It did not take long for the country as a whole to see the failure of this new President and while his critics were on the attack wagon, his followers were still willing to give him a pass with the excuse that things were worse than he had expected and it would take longer to fix the problem. It did not take our beloved leader long to show his true intentions as he introduced his healthcare overhaul option, now considered by many as “Obamacare”. With a country that is decidedly split as to its benefits, many threatened legal action, but even the supreme court could not save the critics in their attempt to stop the plan. The only way out of this mess now will be a complete reversal of the law and that would take an extraordinary amount of Republican votes to do so.....the story continues.
The very first time that I heard about this healthcare plan I tried to adopt a wait and see attitude on it, especially since the information was just too extensive for an untrained legal mind like myself to sift through. Within the weeks following its introduction, it became painfully clear that this plan was all about power and socialism. Before you start throwing out name calling, you should be aware that there are certain sections of this plan that I am in agreement with, but when a government tells you that you MUST pay for something that you clearly cannot afford, what would you call that?
