Link Partners – Why do we use Link Partners?

If you are serious about improving your ranking in Google, I highly recommend getting a few link partners.  If you don’t have a good set of link partners, you risk not rating as high as you should with Google.

If your website or blog has a lot of links coming in, you will get a lot of free traffic from those sites.  Also, linking to these link partner websites can also be a great resource for your readers.  I suggest linking to sites that compliment your website, and try to stay away from your opposition.

By doing this, you enhance your own website.  People will use you as a resource for the information they are searching for.

Make sure when looking for a link partner, you get a reciprocal link.  These links make your website look more important in the eyes of the search engines, and you will also get free traffic from your link partners website.  How cool is that? Free traffic is what we all try to achieve, and using link partners is a great place to start.

That’s right, you don’t want to just link partner with any old website.  You should look to partner with sites that have a mid to high page rank. I suggest you stay away from low PR sites, unless you see that they are getting better, or increasing as they increase content.

There are tools out there that help predict if a website is on its way up the PR scale, but you can usually work it out for yourself just by reading the content and taking note how often the site gets updated.  If the site hasn’t had fresh content for 6 months, and the PR is very low, you could probably give this link partner a huge miss!

Another thing you need to check often is dead links.  If you have a link partner, it is a good idea to make sure their link works on your website, and that they haven’t disappeared.  Also, check your link is on their page, and many link partners promise to add you, then conveniently forget. If you are not on their page, delete them from yours, easy as that!

Looking for good link partners isn’t always that easy.  I suggest looking for similar sites in your niche, and contacting them one by one.  Tell them about yourself, and what you are setting out to achieve.  Not all will say yes, but just keep persisting, and the link partners will come.

Just by utilizing link partners, you can increase traffic, rankings and overall sales in your website.
