I Believe…

Throughout all the joke, spam, junk emails we get in our email in-boxes, every now and then we find a treasure buried in all of that.  One that is truly moving and enjoyable.  The other day as I was skimming through my mass amount of email that had collected while I slept, I came across one that was sent to me by a friend that I found to have some uplifting words.  I found it to be so lovely that I wanted to share it here with my fellow readers so that you could enjoy it as much as I did.  Please note that this was not written by me and I do not take credit for this.  I am only posting it to share with you.  It is entitled “I believe”

  • That a Birth Certificate shows that you were born, a Death Certificate shows that you have died, and pictures show that you have lived.  So don’t be camera shy.
  •

  • That just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean that they don’t love each other, and just because two people don’t argue doesn’t mean they DO love each other.
  •

  • That we don’t have to change friends as long as we understand that friends change
  •

  • That no matter how good a friend is, they are going to hurt you every once in a while and you must be willing to forgive them for that.
  •

  • That true friendship continues to grow even over the longest distances and that the same holds true for love.
  •

  • That you can do something in an instant that can make you happy OR sad for the rest of your life.
  •

  • That it takes a long time to become the person I want to be.
  •

  • That you can keep going long after you think you can not.
  •

  • That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel about it.
  •

  • That either you control your emotions and actions, or they control you.
  •

  • That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done regardless of the consequences.
  •

  • That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time doing it.
  •

  • That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you are down will be the ones to help you get back up.
  •

  • That sometimes when I am angry, I have the right to be angry.  But, that does not give me the right to be cruel.
  •

  • That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you have had and what you learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you have celebrated.
  •

  • That it is not always enough to be forgiven by others.  Sometimes we must learn to forgive ourselves.
  •

  • That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
  •

  • That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
  •

  • That you should not be so eager to find a secret.  It could change your life forever.
  •

  • That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people you don’t even know.
  •

  • That even when you think you have no more to give, when a loved one cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
  •

  • That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
  •

  • That people you care about the most in life are taken from you too soon.

I hope these words have touched you in one way or another as they have for me.
