How to use social networking and have fun with it

There are some people today who swear by using social networking as a way of keeping in touch with friends and family and before I started using it I must admit that I was a bit apprehensive. After being exposed to it for some time now I will admit that the restraint that many users show is minimum at best. I realize that not everyone has the same idea as to what social network should be used for, in my opinion though unless it can be productive, it could get you into trouble. As you make the decision to become a member of a social networking site, please remember that what you post can be visible to many people around the world (which includes your friends and your job) so try to remember that by placing information that is appropriate. For those who still read the daily newspaper, remember that your social networking does not have to be about propaganda or stuff that could be construed as ultra personal. When you are ready to post your information for everyone, please try to consider that what you are putting out there should represent something that is both fun to read and conducive to what most would consider as responsible.

While everyone should be able to share there opinions about issues, choosing to criticize another person, especially if they are friends of yours may not always go over well with others who read it. Unless you are inviting all of your friends and readers, you may wish to keep what you had for breakfast (and any other meal) off your wall, nobody really cares. Think of the information you are choosing to spread to your friends as informative and as such should be useful, in other words a movie that you have seen, a great experience at a Broadway show, or where to get the cheapest gas. Because of a little thing called payback (or tricksters) you should never let any of your friends or acquaintances get a hold of your passwords. Choosing to talk about educationcan be a positive thing, although the prospect of such a thought may not go over well with everyone. Good Luck!
