To start the procedure you should prepare a few items you will need in order to fulfill an effective cleaning. In this case you have to store out a plastic bucket, large pot, lemon juice, baking soda and cream of tartar. After having all these things on hand you may start the actual treatment.

Cleaners Herne Hill explain that that is extremely appropriate especially for for smaller items such as baby clothes or lace doilies. Boil the water along with a sliced lemon and then submerge your lace clothes. Place the pot aside and allow the items soak in the hot water for about an hour to lift the stains and residue. Place the wet items outdoors, on a direct sunlight. Sunlight is a natural whitener, and most of all is safe for the lace material.

After that take a clean bucket and pour water and either 1/2 cup of lemon juice, 1 tbsp. of cream of tartar or baking soda in it. Dip your item into this whitening solution and let it to soak in overnight. Then just hang it to naturally dry.
