Take a clean bowl and pour 4 cups of warm water in it. Combine that with 1 oz. of citric acid and stir well until you have a homogeneous mixture.

Then pour the solution into water chamber of the coffee maker.

Turn the coffee maker on and let the half of the contents of the water chamber to run through the machine.

Turn off the machine and leave the contents to stand for about 20-25 minutes.

Restart the maker afterwards. Run the rest of the content in the water chamber through the coffee machine.

After that drawn the mixture out of the maker into the sink. Refill the water chamber with 8 cups of clean water run all the cups through the machine in order to swill the filter and machine efficient enough. If you estimate that the maker is not completely clean, repeat the entire procedure.
