Good Design and Strong Marketing Message Means a Better Bottom Line

No matter what business you are in, a strong message is instrumental in gaining new customers, retaining past customers and bringing in high dollar profits. If a company only competes in price or is scared of it's competitors it might as well close it's doors and not look back. What exactly differentiates your business from the next guy? Is your product built to last longer, perform better or provide a greater return on investment? Is your customer service or the benefits of using your company so much better than your competitors? Staying competitive in price is one thing, but competing solely on price will eventually just eat away at your business 'til you have nothing left. Similarly the same is true when hiring a service.
You must be able to condense the strongest benefits your customers receive from your company's services or product and deliver that message directly into your customers heads. Your message must be strong clear and concise. Define what you have to offer and make it appealing to your potential costumers. Once you have a strong message that clearly defines the benefits of utilizing your company's product or service the next step is making sure that message isn't lost in translation. Everything from your method of advertisement to your audio/visual or graphic design must be carefully thought out and properly executed. This is where choosing the proper designer or advertising medium can make or break your campaign. Choosing a designer or any service in general based solely on price will most likely backfire and destroy your efforts and dwindle down your profit margin significantly.
Too often people lose sight of the final outcome. We occasionally get caught up in negotiating prices and shopping around for the cheapest service that we forget, sometimes you really do get what you pay for. As a smart business owner, your marketing and advertising is an area you need to pay careful attention to when trying to stay profitable. Often a company will try and get the most of their dollars by trying to find the lowest price on services like printing, design, magazine ads and radio ads. But a smart business owner must also keep in mind it's not the price of the service itself that is important but the value of the service that matters most in relation to the bottom line. Sure you can pay less for a design, or a magazine ad but if it doesn't bring back any money or add any value to your business then you may as well just throw your money in the trash.
A good design and a strong message will bring in substantially more profits and more revenue than a poorly executed design. This fact alone completely justifies paying a higher price for a better design. Even more important a good design says your company is professional and cares about quality. Your website, your company logo, flyers, brochures, stationary and your company's advertisements are all a reflection of your overall company image. It's important to earn a potential customer's trust and buying confidence. A strong professional image and message help achieve the goal of portraying your company as a trust worthy source and as a perfect solution to the customer's needs.
The bottom line is pay attention to your bottom line. Pick a graphic designer or design firm based on how much you like their work and not just on price alone. Something's in life are just worth more and you will reap greater rewards if you learn to recognize their true benefits. Choose your designers well and choose your advertisement avenues wisely. Base your decisions on better return on investment rather than just on lower price per service and you should be seeing a huge increase in profits and an increase to your bottom line.
