Berlín born, Gabriela, Kerstin Belz is a citizen of the world and it´s theworld that permeates her sophisticated and eclectic approach to design and paintings techniques. She split her childhood between Germany and the Ivory Coast in West Africa. "I had the blessing being able to live around the globe, " she says. " Every country has inspired my artistic understanding with their culture and traditions". After completing herDiploma in Design at the Sydney College of Art, she lived and worked throughout WestAfrica - Ivory Coast, Gabon, Senegal), North Africa (Morocco,Tunisia) Australasia (Thailand, Australia), Tahiti (French Polynesia ), the USA and Europe (France, Switzerland). Her work was sponsored by the Moroccan Royal Familyans she received an award from the Royal Thai Family. Her latest work is inspired by the inner freedom of oneself, questioning deep inside the consciences of our minds, anguishes and rules set throughout our childhood and education, the pressure infused by the western society, killing our true individuality. Her message would like to encourage the viewer to find their " Standbein" - "Balance" and the Liberation which arises from that state of mind.
