I wish that I had just bought this sharpener first. Not only is it sharpen a knife at the plant, hair-shaving sharpness, but it does not damage the sides of the blades as do some manual Pencil Sharpener after repeated beatings. The bottom line is that it leaves you with a knife that could easily pass as new.
Note that there are three sections of this rifle:

(2) Steel Non-powered
(3) Fine-grained propelled sharpener
All three sections have blade guides who hold the blade just has the right angle. Section 2 is not supplied with everything: it's just a steel, but it steel blade has just the right angle.
