I have never had the pleasure of operating a sail boat on my own even though my dad did own one of the smaller sailing boats. Personally speaking, I prefer the rumbling sound of an engine below me, so every boat I ever owned was engine powered. The fact of the matter is that I do no even know how to sail a boat, even though I have been around a few sailing boats in my time. The vessel that my father owned was one of a few used sail boats that went up for sale and although it needed a paint job the sails were in decent shape.
A few months ago I paid a visit to one of the military air shows where the noise could be considered as overbearing and every so often we would see someone jumping to their death, only to be saved as they promptly opened a parachute as it broke the tumble. I knew someone once who was determined to spend some time parachuting, needless to say I decided against it, especially since I had no plans of placing my life in the hands of a skydiving parachute. I have since come to realize that the parachute design is a lot stronger than I thought and in fact is produced with some of the finest industrial fabrics
Speaking about taking my life in my hands, have you ever considered what goes into a fireman’s clothing? These are some of the bravest individuals that wear the badge, in fact to be a fireman will probably require a certain amount of trust. I say trust because the equipment that they use must be able to withstand more heat than the human body can. The fireman’s helmet must be strong enough to protect their head and the uniform must be produced with the strongest of materials. Knowing that they will be protected is sure to make becoming a fireman that much easier to deal with.
