Most of my readers are aware that I don't like spending money, in fact I could be considered as a “cheapskate” by many. This is not something that I am ashamed of my any means, but I prefer the term “thrifty” myself. I enjoy turning in coupons as I watch the total ticket price drop down to a more manageable balance. Things like detergent tend to increase my grocery bill, but when it comes to laundry we really have no choice in the matter, unless we plan on wearing dirty clothes all the time. When I approach the checkout counter I am always mindful of the fact that what I spend here must be essential to me and my survival, which simply translates to, I may be financially okay to buy food and other essentials, but unless I can keep those prices down, nothing else will be going home with me.
