Chicken with Orange Almond Sauce

Here’s a really quick healthy chicken 30 minute meal recipe. This recipe is called Chicken with Orange Almond Sauce. I was going through some old cook books I had and realized that there aren’t many diabetic foods. Diabetes can’t have too many carbs or too much sugar. Only reason I know all of this is because my best friend is a diabetic. I thought I would share this piece of information with everyone out there in the internet world. If you are not diabetic and wish to lose some weight but not taste; try this.

Chicken with Orange Almond Sauce Ingredients:
4 ounces of 4 boneless chicken, halves
1 cup of orange juice
1/3 cup of no calorie sweetener
1 can of mandarin oranges, rinsed and drained
2 tablespoons split almonds
1 teaspoon of dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
2 small teaspoons of cornstarch
Directions for this 30 minute Chicken with Orange Almond Sauce Recipe:
Get a large skillet, spray it with any butter flavored cooking spray, brown the chicken pieces for 4 to 6 minutes on each side.
While doing that, get a jar with cover, and combine orange juices, no calorie sweetener and cornstarch. Shake until it’s fully blended.
Pour the sauce mixture into a medium sized saucepan. Cook it over medium heat until it gets thick. Stir it constantly until the consistency is right enough for you.
Then stir the mandarin ornge, almonds, onion flakes, and parsley flakes into sauce. Spoon the sauce slowly, evenly on the brown chicken.
Now reduce the heat and simmer it for 5 minutes. Plate the chicken and apply as much sauce as you want to each chicken.
Now enjoy!
