Buddhist Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh: the Embodiment of Peace

Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Zen master, poet and peace activist. He is the founder of the Van Hahn Buddhist University in Saigon, and organizes numerous social aid projects in Vietnam. He is a former teacher of the Columbia University and The Sorbonne. Currently he lives in France as a refugee due to his peaceful fight, which began during the Vietnam War. He is devoted to his gardening tasks, acts a social worker and travels all around the world to share his teachings. According to the American Roshi Richard Baker, if we had to choose today the living Buddha, that would be for sure Thich Nhat Hanh. Martin Luther King Jr nominated him for the Peace Nobel Prize: “personally I do not know anyone who deserves more the Peace Nobel Prize as this kind Vietnamese monk”.
