When Amanda Hocking self-published Switched, Book #1 of the Trylle Trilogy, I doubt she could have predicted that it would sell over a million copies and become a word-of-mouth sensation. What a pipe dream that must have seemed. I was one of the people who stumbled onto this series and got hooked very quickly, and then spread the word.

When I learned St. Martin’s Press was going to publish the series, I knew I wanted to score a copy of Switched so I could share it with you. I was thrilled when they sent me an advance readers edition because that meant I could offer it for a reader to win in a giveaway! WooHoo!

Switched is a fantasy but it’s much more than that. Like really good fantasies, it’s a universal story that uses fantasy as a way to more safely impart delicate and difficult life lessons. Although the heroine and many of the characters are teens, this is a story that will appeal to all ages – but be prepared, you will likely get just as hooked as I did.
