Amazing Echinacea Angustifolia

Echinacea angustifolia, also known as Cone flower & Black Sampson. This spectacular looking herb has a very long tradition of use by herbalists of many cultures. One legend indicates that many years ago American Indians observed by tantalising the rattlesnake it would in its wrath bite itself. Of course the antagonised snake upon biting itself would become restless and thus seek immediate refuge. On following the snake it was observed that it went straight for a certain sort of shrub. Once there the snake would start to suck at the aerial parts of the plant. Once satiated the snake then sought a sanctuary in which to hide but not thankfully to die. It would recover. This led to the discovery of the plant known as Echinacea.

It was from the medicine men of the Mohawk & Cherokee Indians we obtained our first knowledge of this remarkable herbal remedy.

In modern herbalism we see this herb used in many forms, tea, tinctures, capsules, fluid extracts and sweet tasting glycerites. It is generally accepted that this herb should only be used for short periods of time though. Herbs of Grace recommends no longer than ten days. There are many scientifically substantiated therapeutic benefits for various ailments using Echinacea as a traditional form of treatment. Here are some conditions & properties to consider.

How Does It Work?

Quality Echinacea preparations do not act directly on viruses, rather, they exert an anti viral effect by stimulating an immune response. It raises the white blood cell count and increases the body’s own inherent power of resistance. I stimulates ‘killer cells’ that resist foreign bacteria. Echinacea has an interferon effect by enhancing the body resistance to infection.

Buying Echinacea

Naturally we would like you to buy our Echinacea based products as we can guarantee full traceability of the herb from harvest to production, plus our herbs are of medicinal grade, GMP standard and carry a full money back if in any way dissatisfied guarantee.  By clicking on the product image shown below, you will be directed to the herbs of grace secure website where you will be able to choose the type of product you would like. We do capsules,  tinctures, teas and fluid extracts.

If you are shopping around, look for capsules as opposed to tablets, tablets have excipients added to hold the tablet together & are subjected to more processes than either capsules or tincture. You really want to get the product in a form that is as close to nature intended.

Many cultures will prepare teas. Not everyones cup of tea though! But should you choose Echinacea in the tea/cut form you are truly making your own medicine.

If you prefer tinctures then look to the potency of the product of choice. We sell 1:3 tinctures. That is to say for each 3 parts of grain alcohol there is 1 part of the herb. Echinacea should also exude a pungent strong bouquet. If you want premium quality & want to rest assured, buy ours.
