Well with metal prices sky high you should of course realise that if you are making anything out of metal you will need to be using the most up to date technology. In my opinion metal prices will never return to historical trends. The market is just so much bigger with the demand from the emerging economies. in previous times as a metal recycler I was recieving as little as £40.00 per tonne for recycled steel. You could get in the region of £280 per tonne at the moment.

It might surprise you to know that I am not trying to sell you anything, I do not sell cad programs or anything else for that matter.

I am however worried that an entire generation of young people have been consigned to the scrap heap.

Why ??? in normal times your prospect of getting a job in say histroy or social work etc etc. Might of been 1 in 100 well not in these times we are in.

I am not knocking the subjects or the students for that matter it is simply the fact that those type of jobs will simply not be there. 

The only option I can see is to re start the manufacturing base and start making things again. You can of course sell anything if you make it at the right price.
